From June 30:
Stop it. This phrase is often said in conversations among my friends when we discuss leaving Australia. We yell at each other to stop thinking/talking about it. It’s all too strange to think about leaving a country that I have been so excited to visit for so long. My mum told me that it was a good thing that I don’t want to leave. I couldn’t agree more.
So as you can imagine, this week has been full of ‘lasts’. On Tuesday, I took my last final exam. Don’t freak out, I was glad to be finished with that! On Wednesday, I went into the city for the last time while staring at the bridge whenever it came into view and thinking that there really isn’t anything more beautiful than the Harbour on a nice (cold) autumn day. Yesterday, I took my final train ride in Sydney and spent my last night at Macquarie.
Now I’m all packed up in record timing (three hours).
